I’m finally making a few dollars here and there with this blog! To that end, let me tell you how this is happening, so that I don’t seem like one of those sneaky bloggers who foist bad e-books on the unsuspecting public for profit.

First of all, about half of the blogs I review are paid reviews. You can probably guess which ones are reviews, because they are the longer ones with screenshots. :-) If you see a blog review posted here, you can be certain that it is a blog that is worth checking out, as I decline reviews for blogs that I feel are not useful to you. I will always put my readers above profit, because without you guys, there isn’t any profit.

Occasionally, there may be an ad on the sidebar from a company or fellow blogger. Those ads are endorsed by me, and I feel that they add value to the site or I would not accept them.

I also have signed up with Commission Junction. If you see product advertisements, chances are, that’s where they’re from. I don’t put them on the site unless I believe it is a worthy product.

Then there is Chitika. I don’t really imagine that most people are going to suddenly buy a camcorder or whatever while visiting my site. However, you might want to keep that outlet in mind if you do decide to buy one–why not get the company you’re buying from to share the cash with a fellow blogger? :-)

As far as Dreamhost goes, the offer for $97 off hosting really is the best price available on the Internet for this hosting service. That $97 is every cent of the money I would otherwise get if someone were to sign up via my site. I’m hoping it will pay off in the long run when people renew their plans. So while it is a financial gamble, using pixels to advertise it is worth it to me because it offers a genuine service.

So there it is.
