Wow, tax time was over really fast! Here’s what I did. I simply went to TurboTax and used the $29.95 version of their product, so that it would be sure to find all of the kiddo tax breaks for me. It took less than 30 minutes. And the grand total? $4808.00.
That’s a nice bit towards the shack. I’m in a really good mood right now.










My philosophy:
“If you’re getting that much of a refund, you might want to submit a new W-4 to your employer.”
A $4800 refund means they withheld $92 per week that shouldn’t have been withheld. If you had put that extra money each week into a 5 percent savings account, you would now have almost $4900.
Also, the government would have less money with which to blow up other countries, but that’s my opinion.
Anyways, maybe there’s a future blog post in this for you.
