As promised.

1. My head is getting crowded. The voices of Tolstoy and Problogger don’t always mesh. That’s okay. I can get on meds if necessary.
2. The holidays. The child insisted, strongly, that we shop for new ornaments, put up the tree, make cookies, etc. This all started before Halloween. I gave in the day before Thanksgiving. I have been stringing lots and lots of lights.
3. An inexplicable urge to sew things. Funny looking cats and curtains at the moment. I don’t know why I torture myself. The sewing machine is the only thing that can make me curse against my will.
4. Not having a television. This means that the child can be especially demanding when it comes to obtaining his portion of computer time, during which he plays Lego Mars Mission. Evil marketing genius, that.
5. I’m not making any money. Well, to speak of. Making money would be a motivating factor. I was pleased to see that I made almost four bucks from Adsense for doing nothing last week, though, so it may turn out that pure volume of material on the site can be a factor.
6. I miss some of my old friends. Since I started, several blogs have been abandoned by their owners, who smartly realized that ten hours a day of effort for two dollars does not equal a liveable wage.
7. For an alarming moment, I thought I had read everything on the Internet. This was a direct result of overdoing on productivity and tech blogs. I had the feeling that if I read another article about how to optimize my posts for StumbleUpon, I was going to bite through my lip and accidentally swallow it. Then I would be a lipless freak. Can’t chance it.
8. I have inexplicably felt like doing absolutely nothing.
So there! Hopefully I’ve used up my excuses for a while.

After stringing all those Christmas lights, you should take and post a couple of pictures of it
I sew too, don’t know why, but I get this Martha Stewart urge in me and then, it ends up on the island of misfit toys. LOL. I don’t know why I bother!
Take some shots of your Christmas lights! And love your new design!
I have the urge to buy material but I fail to sew or quilt… Like the new theme
Hm, maybe I shouldn’t get a sewing machine then…
At least not posting is great fodder in itself.
* chuckle * Yes, I was doing okay until I got google-slapped. Now, I’m making $2 a day if I’m lucky.
Your excuses made me chuckle.
oooo, I’d better not let my kids know about the lego game. And not have a telly? GASP!!! I really on Nicktoons to keep my boys out of my hair!!!!
I used your dreamhost offer to set up my charity blog, I know it’s not what you are doing this for, but it certainly helped me out.
The Dales walk
I’d like to see a book by Tolstoy and Problogger. Or an audiobook of Tolstoy read by problogger. I don’t think his accent suits the writing though.
Google’s kinda weird on me, when I was not blogging for weeks, traffic was very good and so does the earnings too. When I got back to posting updates, it all settled down.
Maybe that’s a good excuse, I’m not blogging because Google said so.
Kind of late here, but i absolutely love your new look!
@jhay: thats because google delivers the traffic late. so if you keep blogging, you will always have high traffic. If you stop blogging, your traffic will settle down after some time.
