My son grew up with The Simpsons. He learned a lot from that show, especially in the early days. He has an media awareness and the ability to knock you flat with sarcasm and irony. When we lived in Mexico, he even taught himself how to read in Spanish from a Simpson’s comic book. It’s really too bad that the Simpson’s didn’t blog. Imagine, we could have spent even more hours living the virtual Springfield life!
So, if the Simpson characters actually did have blogs, what would they be?
Homer
Of course, this blog is most likely could not really be Homer’s, because it is obvious that its author doesn’t take lots of shortcuts thus making the blog look like it’s gotten its content from one of those birds that rocks back and forth, pecking at the keyboard.
I wonder if this will become wildly famous every year, getting utterly flamed by the community each time?
Marge
Blog That Mommy. Complete with a cartoon family, Simpson’s wild colors and wacky adventures!
Lisa
Dust My Broom. Ultra-progressive and thought-provoking with a blues list and a picture of a deer. What could be more Lisa?
Bart
Mostly Skateboarding. Complete with real-life Bart-like skateboard stunts.
Flanders
I just can’t do it. Every blog I find either has me seething at the ignorance displayed or the people seem so nice and sincere that I couldn’t link to them here.
Otto
Weed Porn. On the other hand, maybe he’d have a kickazz music blog.
Reverend Lovejoy
Model Trains and Things. Wow. Talk about niche!
Krusty
Strange how when you search for the term “clown” on Technorati, “politics” comes up as a related search word. Seriously.
Fast Food Fever. Krusty Burgers, yum.

Nerve Endings Firing Away. Come on, you don’t really think Apu’s goal is to remain a Slurpee seller, do you? It’s just a day job until he gets rich online.

Last night’s ‘Itchy and Scratchy Show’ was, without a doubt, the worst episode ever. Rest assured, I was on the internet within minutes, registering my disgust throughout the world.
